TAKING AN A+ PHOTO
Here at weeSpring, we love the old adage, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” We also believe that a great photo has the ability to reach folks in a really unique and powerful way. And so we encourage you to snap pics of your Parent Panel gear to complement your written reviews.
Here's a quick list of tips to help you ensure your photo gets an A+ (which will increase your chances of test-driving more awesome products).
Make sure your child and the product (if appropriate) are clearly featured—and are in focus.
Do you have an iPhone 7, 8, or X? If so, you can use the portrait mode when taking a photo to take a really great picture, without a lot of fussing or editing.
Ensure the picture is taken in good lighting so that the colors really pop; this helps the photo draw readers in, even from a distance.
Clear the clutter! Busy backgrounds can be distracting and make it hard to know just what it is you’re highlighting.
Great photos capture an emotion or tell a story. Does the sippy cup foster independence in your toddler, or make long car rides more fun and comfortable? Try to take photos that convey such moments and perspectives to the reader.
Be sure to save the photo in the highest resolution possible.
Even the world’s best photographers have help! Free, user-friendly photo editing apps like VSCO or Snapseed can help you put those final finishing touches, like cropping or adjusting the color, right from your phone.
If people say “A picture is worth a thousand words,” then imagine how many words a video is worth! Here are some tips on creating a helpful, engaging video about a product you’ve tried.
